GET RID OF THAT STRETCH MARKS NOW



It is very common that almost every woman in a specific time of their lives will develop stretch marks. Others, simply have a generic predisposition to stretch marks and get them everywhere and others, neverdevelop stretch marks at all.

They look like reddish lines across the body, and with time they will turn white. In pregnancy it is common to have them, due that the skin it's stretching very rapidly to accommodate the baby and the milk stored in the breasts.

Once the stretch mark develop they will stay with you forever; but with time they will be less noticeable. The only way to avoid stretch marks is preventing them. What causes stretch marks? stretch marks are caused by excessive stretching of the skin.

Depending on your skin color, the marks start out as pink, reddish brown, or dark brown streaks. The reddish-brown pigmentation in the marks gradually fades, and the stretch marks or "striae" begin to look like glistening silvery lines of scar tissue.

Exercises are one of the solution. You can find your Kegel muscles by inserting a finger into your vagina and then tightening the muscles around it, or you can locate the muscles you use to stop urine midstream. Begin squeezing these muscles on a regular basis, first with slow repetitions, then with faster repetitions.

The best part about Kegels is that you can do them anywhere — in the car, during a boring meeting, or even when lying in bed. You can also purchase certain products, such as pelvic exercisers, to help with your Kegels: You insert a pelvic exerciser into your vagina and then clench your muscles around it — in time you will even be able to do this while standing up! Just be sure to incorporate Kegels into your daily routine.

There are many other great "exercises" you can do, too, including yoga positions, that can strengthen your pelvic floor and heighten your sexual response. QUIT SMOKING naturally and detox your body at once- part 2

Are you ready to quit? You have to quit because YOU really want to quit. You have to quit for that reason alone to guarantee your success. You can't quit because somebody else wants you to (like your wife or doctor). You can't quit because your under pressure to do so ( "we can all quit together!" ) You can't quit because you can't afford to keep smoking either. You want to know why these things don't work? Because deep down inside we all feel like we deserve to be happy. We all want to please ourselves not disappoint ourselves. If you feel like your only doing something because someone else wants you to, your more likely to rebel when your feeling bad (or having cravings). WANT TO QUIT BECAUSE YOU DESERVE TO BE HEALTHY! You will be happier, you'll have more energy, your skin will clear up and glow, and the fresh air around you will be revitalizing.
Do this for YOU! If you want this for yourself you wont have any guilt or bad feelings about it. You won't feel like your withholding something from yourself. Your giving yourself a gift of a better life. Are you ready to quit?

Still not sure if your quitting for the right reason? It's okay, use some practise quitting techniques. You can practise quitting by setting some limitations on your current smoking habits. Be reasonable you never want to feel deprived If you currently smoke in your house only smoke outside. DO NOT SMOKE IN YOUR BEDROOM! Pick another place in the house preferably somewhere that has an exhaust fan. If you smoke in your car, don't anymore. Creating these smoke-free areas helps you to get ready for what's up ahead. I recommend thoroughly cleaning the areas as you make them smoke free. Wash your curtains, Febreze your couch, shampoo your carpets, clean out your car. You will begin to notice the difference in air quality between smoking and non smoking areas.

Post a humorus sign on your door. This is great if you have roommates.
This next step may sound unrelated but it's very important that you do it. Redecorate your room. Yes that's right take a look at your room and make sure that it's the safe comfortable hideaway that it should be. There shouldn't be anything in your room that you don't like. (If you can't stand your wife's knife collection help her relocate it to another room.) If there is even a picture of you that you don't think you look good in get it out of your room. If you have children I recommend not letting them in your room or make it a rare occasion. Guests that come to your house shouldn't be in your room either. Your room is your place, no one can bother you there. Make sure the curtains are clean and in a style or pattern you like. The same with the bed covers. Move things around in there just to make it look different, MARK THE CHANGE.
You can do the same thing with your car. If you share a room with someone your car might be your only personal space, but do your best with your half of the room.

Stay smiling-Know that you are doing the right thing.
Another way to practice quitting is to say "no" when people invite you to smoke with them. This is a hard one because your friends might feel rejected. Just tell them you already had one. Try to separate the social interaction from the habit of smoking. Sit with your friends when they are not smoking and call them more than you visit. Smoking friends always think that their quitting friends think they are better than they are, so let them know your quitting has nothing to do with your friendship. It helps to reinforce your readiness to quit by enlisting the help of others. People don't even have to know that they are helping you if you follow the next step.

Step 19
When ever you smell smoke of any kind (even from the BBQ) turn up your nose like you smell a fart and say "what's that smell?" When you walk in on your friends smoking tell them it makes you dizzy and move away from them. Your friends won't want to make you uncomfortable and often they just won't smoke when your around.

You can do it throw them out!
The next step is the hardest for most people. This is the part that requires strength. This is the part that most people can't get past. This is the part were you ACTUALLY STOP SMOKING. No more, not even one. Pretend it makes you sick to even see or smell other people smoking this will help keep people from smoking around you. Don't laugh at this step because some people actually do get sick just smelling cigarette smoke.

Step 21
The next step is to cleanse your body. You want to get through the withdrawal stage as fast as you can so you want to get all the nicotine out of your body as fast as you can. Replace your former habit. Think of smoking as a hobby and pick a new one. Talk about your new hobby all the time and share it with everyone you know. Be fascinated by it, obsess about it, really get into your new hobby. Make it something you really enjoy. Maybe you only smoked so you could get away from everyone or be outside, pick an outdoor hobby. Maybe smoking was the one thing you did for yourself that you felt like nobody else could take that away from you. Do something for yourself regularly like have your nails done, or buy an upgrade for your car or bike. The more involved you are in your new hobby the better your stay smoke free success will be. Read up about it, go online, ask your friends, be really involved in your new hobby.

The final step is eat healthy. When your body is lacking nutrients it tells you by sending you cravings. It is very easy to confuse the craving messages that you get. (You may think your craving a cigarette)
Try to avoid caffeine. That means coffee, chocolate and soda not at all or in very small amounts(like only one of these per day, and only one serving). Caffeine and nicotine have similar effects on the body. Because they are addictive and you don't want to get your cravings confused, it's best to avoid caffeine until you are sure you don't even want a cigarette.

Inflammatory breast cancer

Inflammatory breast cancer is a specific type of breast cancer that involves the skin of the breast. It occurs when breast cancer cells form “nests” and block the lymphatic drainage from the skin of the breast. Symptoms include redness, tenderness, and warmth. Thickening of the skin of the breast (orange peel appearance), rapid breast enlargement, and ridging of the skin of the breast may also occur. Some women may also develop itching, bruising, or a lump in the breast.



Your options for treating breast cancer generally include some combination of surgery, medication (chemotherapy, hormone therapy, Herceptin), and radiation—or sometimes just surgery alone.

The kind of treatment that you and your doctors eventually settle on will have a lot to do with the following factors:

1. The parameters of your breast cancer (in your pathology report)

* Stage of breast cancer: How far has your cancer spread? If it has reached your lymph nodes, for instance, it generally means your nodes will have to be removed surgically and that you will be a candidate for chemotherapy and radiation.
* Grade of cancer: You cancer's grade describes how aggressive or quickly moving the cancer is.
* Whether your cancer tests positive for receptors to the hormones estrogen and/or progesterone: If your tumor is hormone receptor-positive and you are still having periods, your treatment is likely to include hormone therapy, usually the drug tamoxifen. If your tumor is positive and you are no longer having periods or are postmenopausal, you may take an aromatase inhibitor such as Femara, Aromasin, or Arimidex, which lower the amount of estrogen in the body.
* Whether your cancer tests positive for the HER2/neu gene: If positive, your treatment is likely to include the drug Herceptin (trastuzumab), which targets the protein that the HER2/neu gene makes.

2. Your treatment preferences
If you need to choose between a lumpectomy and a mastectomy, for instance, you and your breast surgeon and/or oncologist may discuss with you how strongly you feel about keeping your breast(s).

"Some women say, 'I don't care; I need to get rid of the cancer, just take them off,'" says Karen R. Monaghan, LICSW, a clinical oncology social worker at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. And indeed, there may be good reason to fear not only this tumor, but also a recurrence in this or the other breast. "But other women feel like it's a mutilation, an amputation," adds Monaghan. "It's a very individual reaction."

If you have a large tumor and a strong desire to keep your breast(s), you may have the option of trying neoadjuvant (before surgery) chemotherapy to shrink the tumor so that your surgeon can do a lumpectomy instead of a mastectomy. Lumpectomy followed by radiation may be another option. Research shows that most women with early stage breast cancer have the same long-term survival rate with that strategy as they do with a mastectomy.

How to Watch for Breast Cancer Symptoms


Being vigilant about changes in your breasts can help you spot the symptoms of breast cancer—and spot them earlier, when the cancer is more likely to be treated successfully.

APPENDICITIS

Appendicitis and what causes it?

Appendicitis means inflammation of the appendix. It is thought that appendicitis begins when the opening from the appendix into the cecum becomes blocked. The blockage may be due to a build-up of thick mucus within the appendix or to stool that enters the appendix from the cecum. The mucus or stool hardens, becomes rock-like, and blocks the opening. This rock is called a fecalith (literally, a rock of stool). At other times, the lymphatic tissue in the appendix may swell and block the appendix. After the blockage occurs, bacteria which normally are found within the appendix begin to invade (infect) the wall of the appendix. The body responds to the invasion by mounting an attack on the bacteria, an attack called inflammation. An alternative theory for the cause of appendicitis is an initial rupture of the appendix followed by spread of bacteria outside the appendix.. The cause of such a rupture is unclear, but it may relate to changes that occur in the lymphatic tissue, for example, inflammation, that line the wall of the appendix.)

If the inflammation and infection spread through the wall of the appendix, the appendix can rupture. After rupture, infection can spread throughout the abdomen; however, it usually is confined to a small area surrounding the appendix (forming a peri-appendiceal abscess).

Sometimes, the body is successful in containing ("healing") the appendicitis without surgical treatment if the infection and accompanying inflammation do not spread throughout the abdomen. The inflammation, pain and symptoms may disappear. This is particularly true in elderly patients and when antibiotics are used. The patients then may come to the doctor long after the episode of appendicitis with a lump or a mass in the right lower abdomen that is due to the scarring that occurs during healing. This lump might raise the suspicion of cancer.


Symptoms Of Appendicitis?

Main symptom of appendicitis is abdominal pain. The pain is at first diffuse and poorly localized, that is, not confined to one spot. (Poorly localized pain is typical whenever a problem is confined to the small intestine or colon, including the appendix.) The pain is so difficult to pinpoint that when asked to point to the area of the pain, most people indicate the location of the pain with a circular motion of their hand around the central part of their abdomen. A second, common, early symptom of appendicitis is loss of appetite which may progress to nausea and even vomiting. Nausea and vomiting also may occur later due to intestinal obstruction.

As appendiceal inflammation increases, it extends through the appendix to its outer covering and then to the lining of the abdomen, a thin membrane called the peritoneum. Once the peritoneum becomes inflamed, the pain changes and then can be localized clearly to one small area. Generally, this area is between the front of the right hip bone and the belly button. The exact point is named after Dr. Charles McBurney--McBurney's point. If the appendix ruptures and infection spreads throughout the abdomen, the pain becomes diffuse again as the entire lining of the abdomen becomes inflamed.


Ways Of Diagnosing Appendicitis

There are many ways to diagnose appendicittis but i will explain only three ways:


Urinalysis: Is a microscopic examination of the urine that detects red blood cells, white blood cells and bacteria in the urine. Urinalysis usually is abnormal when there is inflammation or stones in the kidneys or bladder. The urinalysis also may be abnormal with appendicitis because the appendix lies near the ureter and bladder. If the inflammation of appendicitis is great enough, it can spread to the ureter and bladder leading to an abnormal urinalysis. Most patients with appendicitis, however, have a normal urinalysis. Therefore, a normal urinalysis suggests appendicitis more than a urinary tract problem.


Ultrasound: Is a painless procedure that uses sound waves to identify organs within the body. Ultrasound can identify an enlarged appendix or an abscess. Nevertheless, during appendicitis, the appendix can be seen in only 50% of patients. Therefore, not seeing the appendix during an ultrasound does not exclude appendicitis. Ultrasound also is helpful in women because it can exclude the presence of conditions involving the ovaries, fallopian tubes and uterus that can mimic appendicitis.

Diabetes Vegetable Chicken Soup


Ingredients

* 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
* 8 ounces chicken tenders , cut into bite-size chunks
* 1 each small zucchini , finely diced
* 1 large shallot , finely chopped
* 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend
* 1/8 teaspoon salt
* 2 each plum tomatoes , chopped
* 1 14-ounce can reduced-sodium chicken broth
* 1/4 cup dry white wine
* 2 tablespoons orzo or other tiny pasta, such as farfelline
* 1 1/2 cups packed baby spinach


Instructions

1. Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned, 3 to 4 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
2. Add zucchini, shallot, Italian seasoning and salt and cook, stirring often, until the vegetables are slightly softened, 2 to 3 minutes. Add tomatoes, broth, wine and orzo (or other tiny pasta); increase heat to high and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook until the pasta is tender, about 8 minutes, or according to package directions. Stir in spinach, the cooked chicken and any accumulated juices from the chicken; cook, stirring, until the chicken is heated through, about 2 minutes.

Pancreatic beta cells (which produce insulin) closely resemble the antibody initiating the immune response called ‘stretch’ in the whey protein-that is, they are chemically similar-and so these antibodies attack and destroy the body’ own cells. Scandinavians are among the world’s heaviest milk drinkers and they have the highest rates of diabetes. Studies show feeding an infant cow’s milk formula in the first three months of life significantly increases the risk of diabetes.
Diabetes is closely associated with obesity and the consumption of refined carbohydrate seems to be the major contributing factor in this obesity. It is possible to consume a large amount of refined carbohydrate in the form sugar or refined grians such as white bread, macaroni, or white rice in a short time, since the bulky fibre has been removed.If, however, carbohydrates were taken in their natural,unrefined state, it would be impossible to consume even one-fifth of this amount. For example, if a person drinks only one bottle of soft drink in a few minutes[which may contain like 7 teaspoons of sugar] it would have taken them hours to eat the equivalent carbohydrate value found in apple, carrot,or whole grain bread.
YOUNGER AND YOUNGER
Refined carbohydrate, especially in their disacharide form(i.e. sucrose,which is composed of on molecule of fructose and one of glucose), are especially a problem since they stimulate triglyceride formation associated with cardiovascular complications of diabetes. Adult-onset diabetes normally has an incubation period of about 20 years before it become manifest. As our children are exposed earlier and earlier to a vast amount of refined cereals, sweets and soft drinks, we are now finding what would be considered adult-onset diabetes in younger age groups.
Although consumption of refined carbohydrates is one of the major causes of diabetes by causing the pancreas to secrete excess insulin, or the body to become insensitive to insulin, and overworking the process and eventually weakening it - other factors play their part. Stress and adrenal exhaustion are factors in many cases.Although the pancreas, with its production of glucagon, which causes an increase in blood glucose levels,is the major antagonist to insulin in the control of blood sugar levels,the adrenal glands are also involved. Normally food is consumed and converted into glucose, raising the blood sugar level. The pancreas secretes insulin to remove the glucose from the blood. If the sugar level falls too low(as in hypoglycaemia) the adrenal glands secrete hormones that trigger the conversion of stored sugar in the liver and muscles in the form of glycogen back to sugar for use.
These glands, the pancreas, liver and adrenals, are all under stress with either hypoglycaemia or hypergyermia .Stress is interpreted in the body as an emergency situation and the adrenal glands respond by secreting adrenalin to derive energy to deal with the supposed threat.If this is too often repeated,or too prolonged, as in chronic nervous tension, the pancreas,the adrenal, glands, and liver becomes severely depleted and fail to respond properly and hypoglycaemia or diabetes may result .Vitamin deficiencies such as B complex and vitamin C may be the result of this situation since the adrenal glands need large amounts of these nutrients to function. Refined carbohydrates, Stress, coffee, nicotine, and alcohol or recreational drugs all cause the adrenal glands to work in excess, and overstimulation will eventually lead to inhibition of function.Thus, we see that the civilized way of life is the largest factor in the causation of pancreatic and adrenal malfunction leading to diabetes.
