1. Eat only when you are feeling good! (Never eat when u are upset)
2. . Take a moment to bless your food and feel gratitude for what you have. This actually can change the chemical/molecular structure-(Thought is a VERY powerful tool)
3. Eat several times a day-(A good rule is Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, and supper-for those with blood sugar challenges, a small (protein) snack b4 bedtime. (eating every 3 hrs. )
4. Drink Drink, and Drink more water! If you are trying to lose weight, the key to weight loss IS drinking enough water. If you are not drinking enough your body can’t metabolize the fat adequately.
The minimum for a healthy person is eight to ten eight-ounce glasses a day," (various sources). "You need more if you exercise a lot or live in a hot climate. And overweight people should drink in an extra glass for every 25 pounds they exceed their ideal weight. Consult your own physician for their recommendations.
The International Sports Medicine Institute, has a formula for daily water intake: 1/2 ounce per pound of body weight if you're not active (that's ten eight-ounce glasses if you weigh 160 pounds), and 2/3 ounce per pound if you're athletic (13 to 14 glasses a day, at the same weight).
Also, when drinking adequate water, you do not experience hunger unless your body is truly ‘hungry’.
5. 4. Chew, Chew, and then chew some more.

There are many great health benefits from chewing each bite thoroughly before is goes down the esophagus. Chewing food fully aids in the proper transport of nutrients in your body. The benefits of your body getting all the nutrients it needs are endless. Digestion is directly linked to the health of our cells, and all parts of the digestion process are crucial to being healthy
6. Be ‘present’ with your food. In other words, do nothing else (ie, watch tv, read, etc) while eating. Being present with your food allows you to engage all of your senses. Smell, taste, touch, sight, and yes- even sound. Eating is (and I think should be) a very sensual (not sexual-altho, it can be that too for some lol) experience.
7. Eat only until you are no longer ‘hungry’. (That’s a very fine line, that will take practice to find) If you are feeling ‘full’, then you have eaten too much.

And the most important one for me, that made a Significant difference all by itself is:

Stop focusing on your weight! (I know, that can be a difficult one since you take your body with you everywhere) See (visualize) and feel your body the way you want it too look.

Laugh is you wish,
I speak from experience. I am 56 years of age, (often told I look like I'm in my late 30's)with no 'weight problem'. And was able to drop significant weight by using these techniques.
